While many national officers and members look great at conferences, they don't seem to be following the dress code, even on stage.
For the girls, the backless, spaghetti straps, or strapless dresses is frequently violated. It doesn't set a good example for the rest of the members, causes an inconsistency in enforcement, and has advisers correcting those students when the national officers don't even follow them.
DECA and BPA do a much better job at this. If formal wear with these clothing attributes is really acceptable, then the dress code should be revised to reflect that.
