FBLA Social Network

Facebook, Twitter, etc. They are all good social networks, but the problem is, it's open to everybody, and have too much of a casual setting. Why not create a sepreate FBLA social network dedicated to networking, spreading ideas to help improve chapters, etc. Have the advisors sign up their members and give them the ability to monitor accounts. I think it would work.

  1. What about giving each and every member a login code and password to log on www.FBLA-PBL.org? This method of spreading information to chapters could as well work on a private section of your own website. Members would have access to videos, guides, digital materials and much more. Maybe each member doesn't receive a login and pass, but the chapter as a whole to share.

    1. Great idea! However, the concern was about Facebook, twitter and other social network not the website. There are restricted areas where you will need an ID or password to login for certain materials and information, but you still want the website to be open to the public. WWW stands for World Wide Web. You want to give businesses, corporations, students, or any other interested third party the opportunity to find out more about our wonderful organization. Besides, some people may not want to take the time to wait for an ID and password to login for standard information.

I doubt that was your intent, but be clearer on what you are trying to accomplish with your ideas. Keep it up!

  2. I agree with Si. Creating a social network from scratch just for FBLA would be time consuming and cost money when there are social networks and the FBLA-PBL site that could be utilized instead.

  3. There is LinkedIn. I assume we know what this is. There is a group set up just for the purpose you are suggesting. However, it is ultimately the creators, editors, and/or admins to maintain discussions on their particular websites, Facebook pages, or twitter accounts.
