Sponsorship Fund

PBL Chapters, I suggest that local chapters set up a Scholaship Fund of at least $500 per year to at least one student from one of the local FBLA chapters. This will help grow our communities, our chapters, and our members. I would advise finding a sponsor to fund the scholarship, many schools and businesses would possibly be very interested in growing their public image as well. I plan to take this into full effect once... more »

PBL name

I think it would be a great idea for PBL chapters trying to recruit new members, instead of just saying Phi Beta Lambda, use FBLA-PBL so that you can get those members who were apart of FBLA and may not be real familiar with PBL. I have heard this works with many schools. We are a lifetime organization, why not promote it that way.

Like a real Business

Ok, so we all have been apart of our local club, changed by our advisers. How many of us have felt like we didn't have a place in our local chapter? A lot of chapters have this feeling. My idea is that we have different committees throughout the chapter. I know that we already have some of these but sometimes they don't make the difference we need. In these committees we will have; President of the Committee, Vice... more »

Competitive Events

[UPDATE: IMPLEMENTED] "Best Of" FBLA-PBL States!

We all know how awesome our own states are (FBLA and/or PBL) but we may not know how awesome other states are. Let's celebrate them with a little friendly competition (beyond the traditional Competitive Events program). The "Best Of" could recgonize the top state websites, PR material, innovative program, BAA participants, etc. This could be an yearly or once-every-two years type of program. A task force of local advisers,... more »

Conferences

Conference Attendants

I think that we should have positions open throughout FBLA-PBL to serve as conference attendants. These people would be a team that meets to create ideas for better conference involvement and go to various conferences throughout the year (some that are not FBLA-PBL), and bring back knowledge in a report that will make our conferences better. Conference attendance is declining and we need to focus on better ways of engaging... more »

Update the FBLA-PBL Website

The current FBLA-PBL website provides the basic information about FBLA-PBL but does not do a good job of going beyond the basics. Many sections of the site are almost never updated and have outdated information. The website also doesn't market the experience and brand of FBLA-PBL while providing important and interesting information for members/advisers. The site needs to be redesigned to more adequately meet the needs... more »

@FBLA.org Email Addressess

As I was working on the Chapter Business Report, I needed to get information from many sources. Though, it was hard trying to contact the people I need to contact. Email is a hassle, the different screen names, the different domains, which email address is personal, which email is professional, and the list goes on. So, I propose we create @FBLA.org email addresses. This will be for business only, and will be transferable... more »
