Monopoly Tournament as an Act of Unification through Competition

A favorite game to play ever since I could understand the sense of winning and strategy was Monopoly, the long, aggressive game that many people in business come to love. Discussed about by numerous people before, I came across a discussion by Julianna Nadel (@julianna.nadel) to implement a competitive Monopoly Tournament into various events, such as the National Leadership Conference. As Area 4 Vice President for Texas ...more »

Update the FBLA-PBL Website

The current FBLA-PBL website provides the basic information about FBLA-PBL but does not do a good job of going beyond the basics. Many sections of the site are almost never updated and have outdated information. The website also doesn't market the experience and brand of FBLA-PBL while providing important and interesting information for members/advisers. The site needs to be redesigned to more adequately meet the needs ...more »

Annual Student Interns

There are many student members in FBLA-PBL who's talents go underepresented. FBLA-PBL should implement a student internship program throughout the various departments of FBLA-PBL. A lot of the times students know what they want. They just have no experience behind what they want to do. Students bring fresh perspective to different actions. FBLA-PBL should have annual internship positions offered for the year to expand ...more »

Sponsorship Fund

PBL Chapters, I suggest that local chapters set up a Scholaship Fund of at least $500 per year to at least one student from one of the local FBLA chapters. This will help grow our communities, our chapters, and our members. I would advise finding a sponsor to fund the scholarship, many schools and businesses would possibly be very interested in growing their public image as well. I plan to take this into full effect once ...more »

Diverse National Staff

I noticed a job description posted on the national website. While some experience is probably necessary and great, I think that the national office needs some new ideas coming from younger employees, since it really serves the youth. How about looking closely at a former PBL member, who is enthusiastic about FBLA. They might bring a more youthful perspective to market the organization better. BPA and DECA have a diverse ...more »

[UPDATE: IMPLEMENTED] National Officer Video Announcements

A lot of our State Leadership Conferences have National Officers present at them...but a lot don't unfortunately! I believe that if the National Officers create brief videos as an update for our national programs for State Leadership Conferences they are unable to attend, we'd be able to foster a better sense of communication with our local chapters.

PBL name

I think it would be a great idea for PBL chapters trying to recruit new members, instead of just saying Phi Beta Lambda, use FBLA-PBL so that you can get those members who were apart of FBLA and may not be real familiar with PBL. I have heard this works with many schools. We are a lifetime organization, why not promote it that way.
